Product Description

The Ross model 970 is ideal for slicing crust chilled or tempered bone-in pork, lamb, veal, and boneless meats. The low friction coated slicer blade combined with water spray at variable volume and application rates minimize dust and smear. Products are firmly held in vertical chutes and fed into the cutting zone with constant pressure producing consistent slices with the same thickness. It also is capable of thickness averaging to eliminate end cuts therefore increasing yields. The chute product follower securely holds product in place with constant pressure during slicing (air operated). Programmable controls enable individual primals to be sliced at variable thickness to accommodate merchandising requirements. The slice thickness also automatically adjusts for pressed or square end products to eliminate end cuts. Slice thickness range is from .25" to 1.5" (6.25mm-48mm). The slice rate is up to 280 slices/min. The product temperature range is 25 to 29 degress F (-4 to -2C). The water consumption is 1gpm @ 60psi and the air requirement is 1 cfm @ 90psi. The unit is 440/480V, 3Ph, 60Hz with 15FLA and 20amp breaker. FOB Lake City, PA.
